After Elise had told them everything they wanted, Cain removed one of the directional camera’s motors he found in a spares box under the monitor bank. Using a zoom actuator motor, Cain wired it directly to the camera control panel. Fastening the zoom actuator to the chair arm, Cain then tied a combat knife to the lens arm.

Testing it, the arm began moving backwards and forwards slowly moving the knife through the rope holding Elise’s arm to the chair.

With everything ready, Toni left Elise a water flask and three energy bars on the controller's desk.

“Elise. I’ve programmed the camera system controller to do multiple zooms and focus requests in one hours’ time. If anyone tries to access the control room using either door, the two grenades I placed under your chair will instantly kill you. Once the rope has been cut, you can use the knife attached to the motor arm and free yourself.

Standing back up Cain followed Sophie and Toni out of the control room, locking the door behind him.
